In this year long ongoing course learners will learn and develop 3rd grade math skills including algebraic thinking, base tens, fractions, measurement, and data using games, slides, practice, and other fun learning opportunities.

Class Content: This course is designed for learners at third-grade level of math and will encompass all parts of the math skills. We will be utilizing the common core curriculum as a basis for this course and will be adjusting based on what learners need. Learners will learn all materials for 3rd grade math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, base tens, fractions, measurement, data, and time.
I have been teaching in a brick-and-mortar school for over 10 years and have been working with children for 20 years. I have taught all grades kindergarten through sixth grade. I have a minor in kindergarten-primary education, so kindergarten through 3rd grade are my specialty. I can easily differentiate to reach my learners on their needs.
Homework Offered
Learners will have homework only if we don't get everything done during class. Additional homework can be provided. Please reach out if you would like this option.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I will be doing informal observations weekly of learners progress. Please reach out if you would like to receive updated progress of your learners and how they are doing.Grades Offered
Grades will be in the form of a certificate at the end of each quarter as well as a grade based on work done during class. If you would like the grade please reach out. I will be happy to send your learners grades to you.
There will be various learning methods used during our class including slides, practice pages, games, craftivities, and hands-on learning.
Learners should be working on a 3rd grade math level for this course.
Each week materials will be posted in the classroom on Sunday afternoon-evening EST. Please print all materials before class to get the best experince possible. During our welcome time learners will be able to grab any last minute materials but it would be best if materials are available prior to class because this class will have to stick to the time schedule listed. Please be close by for learners, off screen, so if technical issues arise during class you can help. Depending on your learner's needs, please be close by for activities with scissors, glue, etc. Tech info: During class we may be using outschool approved websites such as kahoot, nearpod, or other websites. Students will need to know how to split screens or have a second device ready to go to get the most out of the online game activities. I will also have the option for learners to be able to use the chat features and screen share with the class if that is more comfortable for learners.
I will be using the common core curriculum to develop engaging, grade level materials. All materials will be sent prior to class for you to print off. I will be utilizing teacher created worksheets and activities during class as well. I will also post additional materials from time to time such as flash cards for you to print and your learner to continue to practice at home as well as having access to the videos.
