Part 1 of intensive writing course taking your student through an entire school year exploring naratives, formal letters, descriptions, how-to articles, persuasive writing, creative writing and expository writing in a small group setting.

Class experience

US Grade 3 - 4
Intermediate Level
  • Students will learn to write different types of essays, stories and articles. Students will learn to use the writing process. Students will develop public speaking skills as they present their work to their classmates. Students will learn to give positive, encouraging feedback to their peers.
I am a retired elementary teacher with experience in public, private and homeshool environments.  I absolutely love teaching this age group of students and watch them develp good communication skills through writing and public speaking. 
Homework Offered
Student will need to finish classwork before the next class meeting. Students will need to practice presenting their work to the class.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Feedback will be given on an ongoing basis as we work throught the curriculum together.
Grades Offered
Student needs one spiral notebook or composition book for daily use and another one for publishing their work.
Student needs pencil for each class. 
Additional supplies may be listed in class notes for specific classes.
