In this ongoing course learners who are working on a 3rd-4th grade will work on grammar and writing skills to develop skills using slides, games, writing, and practice.

Beginner - Advanced Level
Class Content: This course is designed for learners at a third and fourth grade level and will encompass grammar and the writing process. We will be utilizing the common core curriculum as a basis for this course and will be adjusting based on what learners need. There will be hands on, engaging materials with lots of practice for skills learned during the whole group section of this class. Each class will include grammar and part of the writing process. Learners will learn grammar and writing skills using the writing process at a 3rd and 4th grade level, including writing 3-4 paragraphs.
I have been teaching in a brick and mortar school for 10 years and have been working with children for 20 years. I have taught all grades kindergarten through sixth grade. I can easily differentiate to reach my students on their needs since I have taught all elementary grades.
Homework Offered
Learners will have weekly homework if they do not get the information done during class time. If you would like additional practice on our grammar skill please let me know. I will be happy to post additional materials for practice.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I will be doing informal observations during class. I will be happy to grade the finalized writing assignments as they are completed. Learners will need to send me a copy of their assignment (either typed or a photograph of their document) sent to me via the messaging system.Grades Offered

This class will use a variety of learning instructions so learners of a variety of learning styles will be able to obtain and understand the materials. Please reach out prior to class if your learner may struggle with the 3-4 paragraphs.
Learners should be working on a third or fourth grade level for reading and writing.
Each week materials will be posted in the classroom prior to class. Please print all materials before class to get the best experience possible. During our welcome time learners will be able to grab any last minute materials but it would be best if materials are available prior to class because this class will have to stick to the time schedule listed. Please be close by for learners, off screen, so if technical issues arise during class you can help. Depending on your learner's needs, please be close by for activities with scissors, glue, etc. Tech info: During class we may be using outschool approved websites such as kahoot, nearpod, or other websites. Students will need to know how to split screens or have a second device ready to go to get the most out of the online game activities. I will also have the option for learners to be able to use the chat features and screen share with the class if that is more comfortable for learners.
I will be using common core curriculum to develop engaging, grade level materials, as well as my own knowledge based on my 10+ years experience in the classroom.
