⭐️ This listing is for a customized, one-on-one, 3-DAY WRITING CAMP with a certified teacher who holds a Bachelor or Arts in English. This 3-day camp is a great way to work on a specific, targeted skill set. Content will be created based on the needs of your learner! ⭐️ ---------------------------------------------------- 💗 I adore helping young learners develop a love for writing by making writing lessons fun and engaging. We do a lot of creative writing, to begin, as this tends to be the most fun way to connect writing with what comes naturally to children--storytelling! I seek to use topics that interest the individual learner, from super heroes to unicorns, princesses to sports, one-on-one tutoring allows us to use the things that interest your child to get them engaged in the writing process! 🎓 I graduated from Texas Woman's University, with a honors, with a Bachelor or Arts degree in English. I then went on to obtain several different teaching certifications: Early Childhood Through 4th Grade (EC-4), English 6-8 (Grades 6-8), and English as a Second Language (ESL). Long story short, this means I have the qualifications to professionally teach all subjects at the elementary level and English Language Arts at the middle school level. ---------------------------------------------------- 📝 Some things we might focus on in this class: -Creative Writing -How to Write a Complete Sentence -How to Write a Descriptive Sentence -How to Write a Proper Paragraph -How to Write a 5-Paragraph Essay -Grammar and Punctuation -Editing an Essay - 🚫 CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: This is a one-on-one class, which means this time is specifically reserved for your child. Other Details
Learning Needs
I love, love, LOVE working with kids who do NOT "fit in the box" that is standardized curriculums. Neurodivergent and 2E learners find my 1: classes and camps to be very supportive because I customize the lessons to their individual needs!
Parental Guidance
As this is a one-on-one class, I am pretty open to topics that your learner may choose to write about. However, as a matter of personal preference, I do not allow topics that contain violence or explicit sexual content.
Supply List
Something to write with and something to write on! For younger kiddos, writing with markers or colored pencils makes writing more fun! Some older learners prefer to type out their writing rather than writing by hand, and this is totally fine with me!
