1-2 hours per week. Homework is not mandatory although students need to practice solving math problems. Practice is a must because Math is a skill subject. Practice sheets are available upon request. Answers key is given during the class for homework checking. I can also help with homework provided you can send in the homework on the platform a day before the meeting. Welcome to our exciting 2nd-grade online small group math class! Join us at any time throughout the year to explore new and interesting math topics every week. In this class, we will cover the complete 2nd Grade Common Core Math Standards, ensuring that students master all the concepts taught in 2nd grade. Each week, we will kick off the class by introducing a brand new skill. Our lessons are designed to be easy to understand, with plenty of examples to guide students. After grasping the concept, students will have the opportunity to practice what they've learned. We'll reinforce their understanding through engaging games that make learning fun! Our energetic and vibrant teacher will make sure that every class is filled with excitement. We incorporate various games, puzzles, and hands-on activities to keep students engaged and entertained. We encourage active participation from all students, making the learning experience enjoyable and interactive. As part of their learning journey, students will have the option to complete weekly assignments to further enhance their skills. At the end of each lesson, we will also have quizzes to showcase the mastery they've achieved. Here are some sample topics we will cover in this class to help you determine if it's the right level for your child: Counting to 50, 100, and 200 Skip Counting by Twos Identifying Even and Odd Numbers Finding Patterns in Numbers Skip Counting by Fives and Tens Addition with Sums up to 18 Adding Zero We will explore many more exciting topics throughout the year, such as counting in larger increments, ordering numbers, working with models, understanding place value, and more! This is an ongoing class, and each week's topics are independent of one another. You can join us at any time and jump right into the current week's topic. We strive to make learning flexible and accessible for all students. If you prefer a different schedule or would like to explore one-on-one classes, please send us a message.
