In this five-week course, students will meet weekly to discuss a few chapters from one of the magic treehouse story books (#1 Dinosaurs Before Dark).

Welcome to Mrs. Guillot's book study! In this five-week course, students will meet weekly to discuss a few chapters from one of the Magic Treehouse Story books (#1 Dinosaurs Before Dark) by Mary Pope Osborne. We will have a book study where we will answer comprehension questions and discuss topics of each chapter to building our reading knowledge, comprehension, fluency, and skills. Students will be required to read the assigned chapters on their own at home in order to be prepared for each weekly lesson. Students will need their own copy of the Magic Treehouse book in order to participate in weekly discussions.

I am certified as an early childhood educator in all core subjects. As the teacher, I will facilitate learning through the use of asking comprehension questions based on the topics and ideas presented in each chapter for the students to openly discuss. I will prepare all questions before each lesson and these questions will cover a range of higher order thinking type questions.
