Class Experience

In this class, I will teach my student why video games can become very highly addictive and ways to overcome video game addiction. How the gaming industry makes $150 billion a year. Many video games including Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnight, Pokémon, Call of Duty, Among Us, Rocket League, Mario, Zelda are on the list for the most addictive games ever! This class is perfect for students aged 8 -16 years old. No experience is required to take this class. Once a learner has been verified per OS policy, this is a camera optional class.

Are they playing more than 1 hour of video games a day?
Are they becoming isolated from family and friends?
Are they lying to others about how often they play video games, and do they often play in secret?
Do they become upset and irritable when they’re not playing video games?
Are they neglecting work or school to play video games?
Are they avoiding activities they once enjoyed?
Are they skipping meals to focus on gaming?
Are they often tired because they’re not getting enough sleep?

The research will be provided to prove how video games can have addictive qualities and the other side effects they can have on the mind and body if spent too long playing them. 
I will show how the games industry programs games to be addictive and use up as much of your time as possible. 
How to spot and or deal with video game addiction. 
What to do if you feel you have an issue with gaming taking over all your free time. 
How to keep control of your gaming habits once you are back in control of your gaming.

Please be aware I try to teach all of my classes to at least 2 students as I feel it provides a better teaching and learning experience. If the minimum amount of students is not reached 24 hours before the start of the course, students will be transferred to the next available section at a similar time.

He has worked with children of all ages in the fields of sports, circus skills, and business as a trainer and mentor. He has extensive experience in mentoring and counseling which he applies during this class. 

Dr. Peter King has done Computer Science modules at University and is a lifelong computer game enthusiast - especially Sid Meir's Civilization which he has played throughout most of his adult life. So he understands from first-person experience how addictive video games can be. He has 3 young stepchildren who he helps get active away from their Playstations and uses many of the techniques and theories explained in this course to help them get a better balance to their lives.
