In this one-time class, 3 to 5 year olds will have fun making numbers with play-dough. I will show different number flash cards, and we will make them with play-dough.

Hello! I believe in an energetic approach to teaching. I like a sweet marriage of noise and structure in my classroom. Your child will be counting and joyfully playing with play-dough as we create several numbers. Just as they would in a traditional classroom setting, they can raise their hand to speak. I will occasionally mute participants just so that each child has the chance to truly be heard. 
I love teaching all areas of early childhood. This class is truly designed as a play time with a simple and fun introduction to counting and number recognition.
This class is 30 minutes. So, please think about the attention span of your child. If you think they are unable to participate for 30 minutes, send me a message, and I’ll consider creating a shorter class.

Supply List

Your child will need one container of play-dough. These can be purchased at most dollar stores or retail stores like Walmart, Target, or CVS. They will also need a table, placemat, or hard board in which to put their playdough.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

My name is Teacher Kender! I obtain the following: BA in theatre, early childhood certification, elementary certification grades 1-6, and a master's degree in elementary reading. The most fun I have while teaching is when I can combine the two. I love digging into books and exploring the characters. I always read with crazy expression and sound effects. My read alouds are exciting and fun! I can teach your child to read, and I can teach them how to perform well in an audition. My available classes list will vary because of my love of the theatre and my passion for lower elementary. I was a classroom teacher for six years. All six of those years were spent teaching first grade. I taught ESL online for 5 years, and I have been teaching a variety of classes on Outschool since the summer of 2020. It is my philosophy that more is caught than taught. So, being a good example for your children is key. Surrounding them with others who instill respect, knowledge, and common sense is vital. Finding a teacher who can bring information to them in an exciting and fun way so that it sticks for a lifetime... that is priceless. Let's do this! See you in the classroom.
