Join us for a fun sing-a-long class as we learn the actions that accompany a holiday favorite song, "The 12 Days of Christmas." Learners will sing and move throughout this interactive lesson.

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Learners will have fun and learn a classic holiday song, "The 12 Days of Christmas."  A copy of the lyrics/words to the song, "The 12 Days of Christmas," are included as an attachment/PDF that you can download before class.  You may choose to practice reading or singing the song with your child before class to help them learn the words.  

They will also move and practice coordination skills as they learn the actions that accompany the holiday carol.   As they learn "The 12 Days of Christmas" motions, they will practice singing with music and without musical accompaniment (Accapella).

A large body of research throughout the last 20 years supports the positive relationship between academic achievement, the creative arts, and exercise (Baxter, et. al., 2011; CDC, 2018; Donnelly & Labourne, 2011; Fan & Chen, 2001; Kall, et. al., 2014; Shannonhouse, 2020).  This class provides children with opportunities to practice memory skills, strengthen coordination, and move their bodies as they learn the actions to the song, "The 12 Days of Christmas."

No prior experience or knowledge is needed for students to participate and enjoy this class.

Parental Guidance
The focus of this class is on group singing and movement. The Christmas content of the song and content is and will remain secular in focus. ADULTS: Whenever learners are involved in a physical fitness routine, please be advised to check for potential hazards. This activity requires enough indoor or outdoor space for learners to move their arms and legs with the music, proper footwear, a water bottle if needed, and adequate stretching beforehand. Please be aware that injuries can occur if learners are properly supervised as described in the Parental Guidance section. This will help you make an informed decision about whether this class is a good fit for your child and to ensure that all students are well prepared for this class.
