This is a 6-session pack of 1:1 sessions to get personalized lessons or work on recommended summer learning from school in math, reading, writing, spelling, or ESL conversational skills. These lessons can be done once, twice, or 3x/week.

These sessions can be customized based on the needs of your learner. A "pre-tutoring assessment" can take place or you can send me the goals they need to work on. The structure of the class will fluctuate slightly based on the topics we need but in general, I am a casual, discussion-based teacher. I have 20 years of experience as a tutor, 6 years of experience as a classroom special education teacher & 5 years of experience as a homeschool mom. At the time of my graduation in 2009 I received a teaching certificate for elementary education & K-12 special education endorsed in cognitive & emotional impairments. I was deemed highly qualified to teach all content areas. The thing I love most about teaching & tutoring is working with a student who is having a hard time, they're starting to feel discouraged and not like school .... but as soon as they start to understand those hard things, they feel successful again, and their smile is priceless!

Suggestions for what to work on in between sessions can be given if you wish. Depending on the student's goals a certain workbook or online practice website may be recommended.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Complete assessment can be done in a "pre-tutoring 1:1 assessment" session. Additional informal assessment, progress monitoring or assessment sessions can be done throughout the course if needed.Grades Offered

Specific supplies may be recommended depending on the goals of the session. A student should always have something to write with, this can be a whiteboard/marker or pencil. If they have any school books they need help with please send me the information before class so I can be best prepared :)
