Students will work on mastering the word recognition skills of phonological awareness, decoding, and sight recognition to build foundational reading skills. These sessions are best for K-2 students or older students who lack fluent reading.

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
1:1 Foundational Reading sessions are designed with students from all backgrounds in mind! Students will work directly with the teacher to learn letters and sounds, phonics, decoding, spelling, and fluency through direct instruction, ample practice, and gamification. Students will have the opportunity to learn reading in isolation and in context, building both word recognition and comprehension.

Students will be able to identify letter names and sounds.Students will be able to blend sounds together to read decodable and high-frequency words.

Learning Needs
These sessions are designed to support students with Dyslexia and other reading-related struggles. Through purposeful intervention, students will build foundational skills needed to be a fluent reader.

Paper/notebook or whiteboard to write on & appropriate writing materials (pencil or dry-erase marker).
