๐ Welcome to Ms. Shelbi's Personalized Learning Adventure! ๐ Whether in our vibrant group classes or personalized 1:1 tutoring, we believe that EVERYONE can learn! The key is discovering HOW they learn best. In my classroom, we build relationships and tailor our approach to each student's unique learning needs. ๐ก I'm a firm believer in learning through play, movement, and leveraging a student's interests to keep them engaged. In our first tutoring session, we'll spend time getting to know each other. By the end, we'll review topics to understand your student's needs better. ๐ Once I grasp your student's identity and needs, I'll design subsequent sessions to delve deeper into specific areas requiring assistance. Multiple sessions provide ongoing support based on assignments or homework. ๐ I offer general tutoring for Kindergarten to Grade 2, covering reading comprehension, spelling, sentence writing, letter reviews, and language skills. In math, we tackle counting, even and odd numbers, more and less, addition, subtraction, and more. ๐ค Before each session, please share your student's requirements or focus areas, aiding in preparation with relevant materials and activities. My teaching style encourages student interaction, supported by PowerPoint presentations for visual aid. Students are urged to ask questions, give their best effort, and most importantly, HAVE FUN! ๐ Whether it's the ongoing group class or personalized 1:1 tutoring, your student is in for an exciting learning journey.
