1:1 Springtime Crochet Class With Ms. Kathleen
Kids! Learn the basic crochet stitches to make coasters, potholders, scarves, and even hats! This class is for the first time crocheter. We will learn how to cast-on, chain stitch, and single crochet.

Beginner Level
This is a beginning crochet class. We'll learn the following: * How to hold a crochet hook * How to hold the yarn * How to make a slip knot * How to make a chain stitch * How to make a single crochet stitch * How to continue to turn our work to ultimately make a finished item of the student's choice. * We will also talk about the different types of yarn. I will teach using the "I do" "We do", "You do" method.

I have taught students how to crochet from beginners through intermediate. I am also a lifelong sewist, crocheter, and knitter and a former elementary classroom teacher where I taught my students how to crochet while incorporating literacy, mathematics, and art.
