In this class, your child will engage in personalized social skills coaching sessions designed to build communication, empathy, and confidence.

What will be taught?
Children will learn a variety of social skills essential for positive social interactions and relationships. Topics covered include communication skills, empathy, friendship, problem-solving, social etiquette, and assertiveness.

What topics will you cover?
We'll cover a wide range of topics, including:

Effective communication: active listening, using appropriate language, and expressing thoughts and feelings.
Empathy and perspective-taking: understanding others' feelings and points of view.
Building and maintaining friendships: qualities of good friends, initiating conversations, and resolving conflicts.
Problem-solving and conflict resolution: identifying problems, brainstorming solutions, and negotiating agreements.
Social etiquette and manners: showing respect, taking turns, and respecting personal space.
Assertiveness and self-advocacy: standing up for oneself and making assertive decisions.
Understanding social cues: interpreting facial expressions, body language, and tone of voice.
Peer pressure and decision-making: saying no to peer pressure and making choices aligned with personal values.

How is your class structured?
Each class session is structured to provide a balance of instruction, practice, and reflection. Sessions typically begin with a brief overview of the day's topic, followed by interactive activities, role-playing exercises, and group discussions. We'll also incorporate real-life scenarios to apply learned skills in practical situations.

How will you teach?
I utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. Visual aids, such as slides and diagrams, are used to reinforce concepts, while hands-on activities and role-playing allow children to practice skills in a fun and engaging way. I also provide clear instructions and repeat key concepts to ensure understanding.

What's your teaching style?
My teaching style is supportive, encouraging, and interactive. I create a safe and inclusive learning environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves and taking risks. I provide constructive feedback and praise to reinforce positive behaviors and efforts.

Activities include:
Interactive discussions: sharing thoughts and experiences related to the topic.
Role-playing: practicing social skills in simulated scenarios.
Reflection exercises: sharing insights and reflections on learned skills.
Q&A sessions: asking questions and seeking clarification on topics covered.

Note:
This class is not therapy, but rather a structured learning environment focused on skill-building and social development. While we address topics relevant to emotional well-being, this class is not a substitute for professional therapy or counseling. Examples of what this class is include: providing practical strategies for making friends, teaching communication techniques, and guiding children in resolving conflicts peacefully.
