Homework
1-2 hours per week. Regular practice will yield the best results. I will not likely assign specific "homework" though I strongly encourage students to practice several times a week. Consistent short practice is much more effective than one long practice session every week or two, so adding regular short practice sessions into your daily/weekly routine will give the best results. Even 10-15 minutes can go a long way with consistency.Class Experience
The beauty of one on one voice lessons is that we get to build the lessons around each students individual goals and their own voice. Whether you have been singing since you could talk, or have never sung for anyone, I can help you build confidence in your voice through developing techniques to strengthen the voice you already have. Through breathing exercises, vocal warm ups, working on songs, and sight singing (for those that want it), you will get a well rounded experience that will not only strengthen your voice, but help you connect to your voice and find your own unique expression while singing music that you love. I focus on contemporary music like pop, soul, RnB, rock, folk, gospel, and Jazz. I am not classically trained (I have extensive training in contemporary styles), so if you are looking for Classical vocal techniques, I will not be the best fit for you.
