Learners will receive one-on-one tutoring. I will be able to help your learner grow their science knowledge in all areas of science, including Physical Science, Earth and Space Science, Life Science and Nature of Science! This class is aimed to work with students who are between grades 6th-8th or 11-14 years old. Once you sign your learner up, I will communicate with you to determine the needs of your learner. Specific topics I will have plenty of help and information for are: Physical Science: Elements and Compounds Pure Substances and Mixtures Acids & Bases The Periodic Table Properties and Changes in Matter Chemical Equations Atom Speed, Acceleration, and Velocity Forms of Energy and Energy Transformations Types of Forces Calculating Forces - Net Force For Earth Science: Plate Tectonics & Continental Drift Theory Types of Plate Boundaries Landforms - Volcanoes, Mountains, Rift Valleys Earth’s Interior - Layers of the Earth Weather and Climate Space Science: Star Cycle - Supernovas, Black Holes, etc. Planets - Order of Planets, what’s unique about them. Tides Moon Phases Life Cycle of Stars Properties of the Sun Life Science: Biomes, Ecosystems and Habitats Theory of Evolution and Natural Selection Food Webs/Chains Interactions in Ecosystems - Parasitism, Mutualism, and Commensalism Trophic Levels/Energy Transformations - Producers, Consumers, and Decomposers. Organ Systems Types of Cells Cellular Division Heredity (DNA and RNA), Punnett Squares, Pedigree Charts If your learner needs tutoring in other areas of science, please reach out and let me know. *Homework and grades can be provided if requested.

We will be using Google Drive to share documents for class (Google Docs and Google Slides), Youtube videos to reinforce concepts taught in class
PHET simulations to help visual learners better understand concepts and apply them (I will share links with learners when we use this or in some cases I will screen share the simulation), Blooket to play review games to reinforce concepts through screen share
Nearpod to present materials through screen share
