I have been teaching elementary aged students for nine years. My first year included tutoring reading and math to students in kindergarten up to sixth grade. The other years I have spent time teaching in a fourth and fifth grade general education classroom. I have a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and a master’s degree in Elementary Education, as well as a teaching license in Early Childhood Education. In addition, I completed over 100 hours in a reading summer camp to achieve my Reading Endorsement K-12, as well as over 30 graduate hours to obtain my Master's +30 credit hours. I am licensed to teach preschool-fifth grade in all subject areas. Throughout my years of teaching, I have been rated “accomplished,” which is the highest rating through Ohio’s Teacher Evaluation System. Furthermore, I have held the title for my grade level on our schools Building Leadership Team, as well as being a part of the district's Learning Leader Creator Team.
In addition to teaching in person, I have been teaching on Outschool for the past three years through an incredible and "Popular" organization. I have taught a wide range of reading and writing classes from ages five to twelve.
