1:1 Private Writing Class: Paragraph or Essay Writing With a Certified Teacher

During this private tutoring session, we will focus on the student’s current writing abilities. This class will focus on writing paragraphs or essays - depending on where your child is at. We will be focusing on such things as brainstorming, rough drafts, how to write a thesis statement, introductions, body, conclusions, topic sentences, and transition sentences. During these tutoring lessons we will also be reviewing some important skills. Together we will work on punctuation, sentence structure, verb tense and grammar. 

This class will assist your child in becoming a strong and confident writer.  We will begin where your learner is at and develop skills from there. 

This class would be useful for learners who are learning to write a paragraph or 5-paragraph essay, or learners who just need to practice their writing skills. 

These classes are taught using google slides. Students should have access to google docs or something similar where they can write their essays or paragraphs. At times, students may have homework. I find it important to monitor where the students are at and students may not complete the entire assignment in class. Students may need extra time outside of class to complete it.
