During these sessions, we will have a one on one private tutoring session in which we will cover grade-level, standards-based math assignments/activities. The student will bring their math assignments or the tutor will provide an age-appropriate, standards-based math lesson. Nearpod may be used in order to further actively engage students and gamify learning. The lessons will follow an I do, we do, you do approach. They will start with a recap of the a specific concept or skill. After that, the tutor will demonstrate the steps to solve the problems. Collaboratively, the tutor and student will work through a few examples. In the end, the student will solve some problems on their own, and the tutor will provide feedback on their precision and grasp of the topic.  The tutor may give follow up assignments to the student in order to reinforce concepts and assure confidence and mastery.
