Class Experience

Author and speaker David Mezzapelle believes that we all have the capacity to make optimism contagious just by sharing our life's adventures. Mezzapelle, the founder of the Contagious Optimism movement and author of the bestselling book Contagious Optimism, has identified seven traits optimists share and the habits we all can implement to become one.

The purpose of this one-on-one activity is to help a young person reclaim their natural optimism by learning about these seven positive habits:
	- They Express Gratitude
	- They Donate Their Time And Energy
	- They're Interested In Others
	- They Surround Themselves With Upbeat People
	- They Don't Listen To Naysayers
	- They Forgive Others
	- They Smile

Each strategy will be reviewed for understanding based on the developmental level of the student.
