**PLEASE, MESSAGE ME WITH YOUR CHILD'S MATH NEEDS OR SCHEDULING QUESTIONS**

***Parents, you can message me at least 1 week before the first class if your student has specific topics they are working on. If you are unsure of what their specific needs are, the first class will be a get to know you and assessment of their needs.***

This private math session is customized for your child to meet the needs he/she/they have for learning. This weekly session may be ongoing for as long as you decide your child benefits from 1-1 tutoring. I will cater the curriculum to your child's specific needs. Private tutoring begins where your child is academically, then helps them grow and feel confident as they reach their academic goals.

The subjects that I can help students with the most are 3rd - 8th grade math topics. These include, but are not limited to: multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, rates, ratios, polygons, area, perimeter, volume, coordinate planes, equations, expressions, inequalities, integers, rational numbers, and word problems.

My teaching strengths are patience and connecting with my students. I have many years of experience with students that have special learning needs.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Education from WGU
I have a Bachelor of Art in K-8 Interdisciplinary Studies. I have worked with students, ages 2 - 18, in multiple different settings including public schools, private daycares, Girl Scouts, and homeschooling my own children from primary school through high school graduation. I have worked as a Teachers' Aid in a 6-8th grade building in all core classes including 6-8th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geography, Civics, Life Science, and ELA. As a Teacher's Aid, my job was to pull small groups of students and reteach the concepts that were taught by the teacher, but in a easier to understand way for the students that struggled with the concepts. I also worked closely with the teachers to develop class curriculum for both the whole class and for struggling learners. I have over 10 years of experience working with children with both special learning and behavioral needs in a public classroom setting.
