In this course, learners will have extra practice in the skills they need additional support in. An assessment will be conducted during our first few sessions for me to see what areas your learner needs extra support in.

US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Math can be tricky for learners. My 1:1 math tutoring classes are designed to support the learner's needs and preferences. Since this is a 1:1 class, concepts listed below are examples of what can be taught and concepts taught are based on the learners' areas they need support in. Does your learner enjoy learning through games? Game-based instruction will be incorporated into our sessions. Classes will start with a spiral review of a topic taught in a previous session, then we will move into the concept for the week. Sample concepts for Kindergarten include: • adding and subtracting through 10 • matching pictures to written numbers through 10 (1:1 Correspondence) Sample concepts for 1st Grade include: • word problems • place value Sample concepts for 2nd Grade include: • telling time • adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers

Learners will improve their math skills by using games and other practice methods to support learning.

Since this class is 1:1, it is extremely individualized and tailored to the learner. Learner's needs and preferences/interests will be considered when planning activities.
Parental Guidance
Youtube videos will be used to reinforce concepts taught.
Google Slides, Google Docs will be shared from my screen.
Kahoot might be used as a review.

Having a notebook and pencil is necessary as there will be times learners need to show their work for a math problem.
