The goal of this ongoing session class is to provide enrichment and to help students excel in math. This class curriculum is aligned with the Core Curriculum Standards for Mathematics and topics will be based on your child's needs. Each class will have comprehensive learning objectives to help students succeed. Students will be presented with concepts and skills essential for success and mastery of the material presented. Word problems will be added to provide real life application of math concepts tutored and taught. In addition, homework assistance will be available. We can structure the topics around the areas most needed for your child. Parents can upload images of work and topics they would would like taught to students. Topics can include: 1. Addition & Subtraction with regrouping 2. Place Value, Comparing Numbers and Ordering Numbers 3. Multiplication, Relationship between multiplication and division 4. Rounding and Estimation 5. Tables & Graphs 6. Multiplication Facts and Division Facts 7. Equations, Exponents, Estimation 8. Fractions with Like and Unlike Denominators and Calculating Least Common Denominator (Least Common Denominator) 9. Comparing Fractions and Converting Fractions to Decimals 10. Money & Patterns 11. Geometry & Mental Math 12. Measurements Metric System, Mass and Pounds 13. Volume and SurfaceArea 14. Measurements, Comparing Lengths, and Converting Length Measurements and Time 15. Consumer Math - Adding money, converting money, and change from purchases. 16. Time - converting time, military time 17. Time - Adding hours, minutes, and seconds to convert time 18. Geometric Calculations 19. Scientific Notation and Statistics 20. This class curriculum is aligned with the Core Curriculum Standards for Mathematics. Each class can be customized to support individual student needs. Students will be presented with concepts and skills essential for success and mastery of the material presented. A sample curriculum is below.
