US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
In the first class of this ongoing private class, I will read the following children's books: Little Quack by Lauren Thompson and The Curious Little Kitten Around the House, by Linda Hayward. If time permits, I will also read A Friend for Minerva Louise, by Janet Morgan Stoeke. The student will be able to see the pages as I read, and I will ask comprehension questions throughout the book about what is on the pages and what I have read. During future classes, the books will vary. I will do my best to try to use books that interest the learner. This class is designed to be a low pressure and enjoyable interactive story time for the learner where I will ask comprehension questions throughout the book and continue the questions based on the learner's responses. Since it will be a one on one private class, there will be opportunity for plenty of interaction between myself and the learner. You may even get to meet one of my five pets during class! If you are interested in requesting a different day/time, please send me a message and I will do my best to find a time that will work for both of us.
Learning Goals
The learner will improve their listening and comprehension skills by listening to stories, looking at the pictures in the books, and answering questions throughout the book. Also, students will be allowed to practice their social conversation skills while interacting with me during class.Other Details

Hello, everyone! I’m Ms. Lorinda.
I have classes listed for learners between 3 to 11 years old and will hold class with a minimum of one enrolled learner. I hold animal themed story time classes, which include a craft project, as well as show & tell classes. I also have 1:1 private story time classes for 3-5 year old learners where, in the ongoing option, I can tailor the lessons for each learner.
I have experience teaching my children at home, as well as teaching preschool music classes and substituting for teachers and paraprofessionals in public schools. I like to connect with my learners through a common love of animals while creating a fun and relaxing learning environment.
