In this class, learners will be given guided practice problems to practice skills and concepts with scientific notation typically taught in eighth grade. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Learners can also bring homework or assignments from school or other classes that involve scientific notation to work on together. 

Concepts and skills can include any of the following:
•Converting Between Scientific Notation and Standard Form
•Comparing Numbers in Scientific Notation
•Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying and Dividing in Scientific Notation
