Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9
Beginner - Advanced Level
- Courtesy Introduction -

First lesson free if it's unhelpful or we're not a good fit. Guaranteed improved self-esteem and self-confidence after 5 plus sessions. Feel confident showcasing your improved personality and character through your personal statement essay.

Out of courtesy, we could extend our session to fulfill all urgent requests you have within the same week. The bonus time past the original time frame will be free of cost to you. Beyond that, such as needing 2-5 sessions to finish everything we need to do, please schedule them, and we will still offer you bonus, free time to maximize our effectiveness and time. As a result, we will produce quality work and performance.

I'm a Stanford graduate and before that, I applied to Harvard and few other Ivy League Colleges and received admission. I chose Stanford because I wanted to remain in the Bay Area, California.

I hope all my knowledge (from professional training as college admission reader officer) and experiences will make your dreams of going to an Ivy League or top, elite college, come true. Before that, we will help you gain admission to elite, private middle and high schools.

- Important Logistical Notes Before Our First Meeting -

1. Please schedule 1+ days in advance because sometimes the system blocks same day or 1 day scheduling.

If you message me about a private meeting at a specific time slot, I would be glad to work with you although you have to understand it may not work, and the more time you give us, the better.

2. Please send me all your online files or photos of physical files through Outschool "Conversations" messages. Preferably 1+ days in advance to prevent technical difficulties.

More importantly, 1+ days allow me to review your material and either ask questions if needed, or give you a full refund to save you time, meaning I won't be able to help.

Make sure all files and photos are clear and zoomed in because there is no feature to zoom in later, which means you will have to retake them if the video screen share shows them either too small or blurry.

3. If you must reschedule, please do it 2+ days in advance because the more last minute you wait, the more we may not be able to reschedule due to system blocks.

When that's the case, please understand I'm trying to help you, and if you cannot get a refund because it's outside the Outschool 48-hour window policy, you would have to contact support because it's beyond my ability to assist at that point.

4. According to Outschool Policy, if the student arrives late to the meeting by 10 minutes, the instructor may leave and you will be stuck with a paid session without a refund.

In my case, I am willing to wait up to 20 minutes before leaving, so please make sure you are not too late because that's the best I could do for you. In addition, the session will still end on time, without any makeup time regardless of how much time we lost due to any reason, so please understand the session could have rightfully been cancelled on my end although out of courtesy to you, we will make the best of the shorter time.

5. If the student has a medical or lawful reason for wanting the camera off the whole lesson, please let me know in advance. Normally, it might be better for you to find another educator, although if your case is special, I am willing to work with you. Ideally, you would be comfortable with turning on your camera the whole time, so that our experience and interaction would be more effective and engaging. Knowing our surroundings and environment would improve your learning and progress.

- General Topics and Themes of Course -

We will complete and edit any form of school application or personal statement essay, ranging from middle school to high school to college. In addition, we could strategize your extracurricular activities and volunteering experiences, leading up until this application process, in order to significantly boost your chances of acceptance.

1. This whole course is dedicated to college prep, whether the process starting from middle or high school, leading up to college applications or personal statement essay, or these things themselves in 12th grade. For the college apps, we'll focus on your personal statement essay before filling out the rest of your application, in order to attend an elite university.

As for scholarships, we will first determine whether you are eligible based on your family's income. If you're above the cut-off, even though you won't get a scholarship, we will fight for your admission to your dream school, assuming your family will fully cover the costs. And if you're eligible, we will do our best to make sure you get both although securing your spot on the admission list or waitlist is priority.

2. You will also gain the self-confidence and self-esteem to develop greater social and life skills, which will then pave your future, whether through university or not.

By regulating your mental and emotional health, you will embody leadership qualities. Your communication and writing will be loud and clear, in addition to sounding smart and reasonable.

3. We'll also cover outside skills such as time management, study, handwriting, note-taking, phonics, debate and organization, so the student gains crucial qualities leading up to college, in addition to having an impressive resume of extracurricular activities.

4. We'll attend 1 session a week, or it may vary according to the parents and students' preference, depending on their strengths and weaknesses.

5. We'll ensure the student understands the current material before moving forward. If the student doesn't understand right away, we'll patiently explain the concept from another perspective, so the student feels comfortable. We may always revisit past material for clarity or reminder.

6. The student will have the freedom to always interrupt the instructor and ask questions if something doesn't make sense.

- Some Specific Topics and Themes of Course -

1. For the personal statement essay, we'll learn the tone we need to engage the application reader, and the language, which determines the strength of our paper. We'll also emphasize your life story to make you stand out among the thousands of applicants.

2. We'll strategize your extracurricular activities in order to reinforce your grades and test scores. When all factors align, admission to at least the waitlist is essentially guaranteed.

3. We'll understand how certain elements play an important role to your school's diversity.

4. There may be college level courses or programs outside your high school we could attend to make your academic status stand out among thousands of other high school students. We'll strategize this.

5. Ideally, if you have access to prestigious internships or work-programs, even as a minor, it will significantly boost your chances among other outstanding applicants. We'll discuss how you may partake in these opportunities.
