What will be taught? Students will review the details of what the Scientific Method is and how it came to be used as the standard for science experimentation. This full course will also address the required steps of the scientific method in preparation for a science fair. Full comprehension of each step of the scientific method is required before proceeding to the next step. How will I teach? I will present material using Google Slides. The students will be asked to verify their comprehension with oral and written reviews. Students will initiate conversations with the teacher to clarify their science fair goal. Required experience of background knowledge? Students should have completed my single session or short course. Students must present their "Science Fair Project Proposal". Late enrollments: Students’ schedule will be adjusted to fulfill the 9 week requirements. Make-up classes must be completed before the next step of the process is addressed. Week 1: Topic and research/review the literature Week 2: Question, hypothesis, and procedure Week 3: Test your hypothesis Week 4: Test your hypothesis Week 5: Prepare your results Week 6: Explain your results and draw conclusions Week 7: Write your report Week 8: Prepare your presentation Week 9: Present your science fair project

Other Details
Parental Guidance
Parents will be asked to assist with certain part of the project such as purchasing supplies with the student. However, the science fair project should be independently completed by the student.
