With over 15 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to teaching in mainstream British primary schools, engaging with children aged 4-11. My role has encompassed working with a diverse range of students, from those with additional needs to those identified as gifted and talented. For a decade, I held the prestigious position of Head of English at two distinct schools. In this leadership role, I shouldered the responsibility of steering progress and fostering achievement. As both a teacher and a leader, my unwavering focus has consistently been on aiding children in reaching academic excellence through dynamic, innovative, and engaging lessons. As a private tutor, I have now tutored over 20 children to successfully complete the 11 plus or their school’s entrance exam and achieve a place.

Parents must let me know what school (or type of exam system) it is that they want to apply to.
If children are able to type, the lessons work best using Google Docs, so that I can see what they are writing and edit it with them in live time. Please make sure that you have an account set up and logged on for the lesson. If children cannot or do not want to type we can easily use pen and paper, but please make sure that it is a dark pen that I will be able to see on camera. There will also be exam questions to edit in on screen so the lesson works best if children are using hardware that allows them to annotate. Some printed resources may be required, but I will give due notice of these.
