Homework
1 hour per week. When applicable, students will complete a handout. If a Kahoot activity is available, it will be sent to the student to assist them in reviewing what we have covered in class.Grading

If you are interested in this course for your student, please send me a message. In this course, the student will receive 1:1 tutoring with their writing, reading, spelling, vocab. We will discuss what the student needs and address it during class. **Class topics will be based on what is agreed upon between parents and myself. Topics could include spelling, reading, writing, and vocabulary. My goal is to create a meaningful class where students grow in experience and confidence. I hope that students feel comfortable asking questions, and are encouraged in their writing. My hope is to assist students in improving their writing, reading, spelling, and vocabulary. English Language Arts can seem overwhelming. By breaking down the writing process, using some simple tools and outlines, students will find success!
Learning Goals
Learning goals will depend on discussions with parents and what we will be working on in class. I work with the parent to see where their student needs more assistance and we come up with a general plan of action.

If students want feedback on the homework, they will need a way to print them off and complete them. Students will also need to be able to upload completed work to the Outschool platform. If students would like to take notes during class, they will need paper and a pen or pencil.
