Whether you're struggling with sentence structure in your essay, how to find your voice in poetry, or crafting the perfect story, this one-to-one class will guide you in a clear and direct way. Class meets regularly once a week so it is important students come prepared with any questions or writing samples they may have. The goal of this class is to answer any pressing questions students may have about their writing whether it is an essay, creative writing or other informational piece.
In 2012, I earned my degree in creative writing from the University of California at Riverside, working with established authors like Susan Straight, Reza Aslan, and two-time, United States Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera. They taught me the value of writing, the idea that storytelling can help us become better communicators and empathize with people everywhere. I hold a California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST) certificate since September 2016 in reading, math, and writing.
