100 Ch3mi5try For Everyone: An Interactive Approach to the Atom and Elements
What's included
1 live meeting
45 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
US Grade 9 - 12
Class will start at the smallest building block for chemistry, the electron. From there we will understand it’s relevance to creating atoms. We will link that atoms can represent different elements from the periodic table. Using the most common elements and bonds we will understand the relevance of electron orbitals and the reasons why elements will bond. We will use technology for visual learners to understand and create their own atoms. No experience is required, but I would suggest knowing one common element from the periodic table such as oxygen, chlorine, hydrogen etc.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to structure an atom according to their atomic number in each orbital of an atom.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Florida Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Hello future students!
I am a high school teacher with experience in Chemistry, Geometry, Algebra and Biology! I am a premedical student that transitioned to teaching. I have always succeeded as a hands on learner and hope to do the same for your student. I value learning is beyond lectures and reading material. We will saturate the topic with interaction as I facilitate your children’s inquiry in complex topics for the youngest levels.
I am also the JV basketball coach and Special Olympics liaison/coach for flag football, basketball and track. In the fall I am the head Pop Warner football coach for 5, 6 and 7 year olds. I am able to inspire my students and players be in the classroom and on the field or court.
