Beginner - Advanced Level
This 1 to 1 tutoring course can be tailored to meet student needs. The major focus weekly will be comprehension and strategies for questions. Students will explore fluency and confidence while reading a variety of texts. Skills typically are main idea, details, predictions, and a variety of strategies. Structure: 5 minutes vocabulary 10minutes passage practice 10 minutes paired work passage 5 minute review and enrichment June 3 Main Idea June 10 Details June 17 Paired Passages June 24...
- Students will improve their reading by using at least two strategies.

Students with ADHD might benefit from the accommodation of frequent breaks. Students with dyslexia might benefit from the accommodation of repetitive reading strategies and structure strategies.
Students should have the basic capability of reading at least 1 full sentence in order to work on comprehension components. Beginner readers may focus on sight words, vocabulary, and fluency instead.

Content will be diverse, equitable, and grade-appropriate.
