Class experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
Learners will grow in their independence as they partner with their learning leader to develop assessment criteria for self-evaluation of performance on a specific topic.

Learners and leaders-alike will co-designed and document goals, milestones, and activities as appropriate to the topic of study.

Learning goals will map back to the National Standards for Music Education as outline in the course description for all classes to include the standards of cross-cutting and interdisciplinary subjects.

Learners will exit with the minimum of a start to their music learning profile.
For over a decade, I served as a public school music teacher for the performing arts and academic music. I have taught from preschool through high school, including 5th—8th grade. My work has received multiple award recognition in the form of grants and non-profit organizations. I hold a bachelor's and master's degree in music.

For the next decade, I have lived experience at a Fortune 500 corporation as an account manager and project manager serving the government sector, focusing on the emergency management industry. I hold various certificates notable in the field of business, such as the PMR from Project Management International and Toastmasters International. Additionally, I have been a leader and competitive speaker with Toastmasters International.

Volunteerism is important to me and I work with a non-profit organization to mentor, coach, and guide the growth of college students for development of crucial conversations and financial management.

I am excited to share my love of the world of work and interdisciplinary connections through authentic learning experiences.
