In this personalized, one on one Math tutoring session delivered by and Elementary and Special Education teacher for 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade, learners will work on strengthening their skills in areas of need. Information will be presented in a variety of modalities such as visual models, hands on demonstrations, interactive games, and more. Repetition and step by step guided practice will enable learners to build confidence in frustrating areas. Some of the things we can work on in our session include: *Assessment Anchors - Numbers and Operations, Algebraic Concepts, Geometry. Data Analysis and Probability, and Measurement *Place Value *Addition/Subtraction with regrouping *Multiplication/Division with multi-digit numbers and across zeros *Order of Operations *Problem Solving - identifying key words and strategies to solve word problems *Multi-step Word Problems *Fractions - adding/subtracting fractions, least common denominator, least common multiple, multiplying/dividing fractions, using the reciprocal, cross multiplying *Decimals and Percent *Units of Measure - customary and metric *Area/Perimeter/Volume *Polygons *Angles - right, acute, and obtuse *Money - identifying coins, counting money, making change *Time - telling time am/pm, elapsed time *Graphing - coordinate grid, ordered pairs, line graph, bar graph, pie chart My teaching style is energetic, friendly, and patient. When learners come to my session, they can expect an interactive and supportive environment that focuses on them. I encourage learners to have a growth mindset when it comes to math and help them to believe they can finally excel in this area!
Learning Goals
Learners will improve their understanding of various math skills, work towards proficiency/mastery of tested and frustration level skills, and become confident in knowing they can excel in math.

As a teacher with experience in Elementary and Special Education, I have worked with students with ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, Behavior/Emotional Difficulties, and ESL. I welcome all learners!
