Constant feedback will be given for all written and oral "work". At the culmination of the tutoring course, parents will be provided with detailed and actionable feedback about their learner's progress and suggested future activities or courses.Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner - Intermediate Level
This is a 1 on 1 tutoring course. We will cover whatever topics (especially US History) that may interest your learner. We can focus on specific eras, events, figures, concepts, conflicts, etc., or we can learn to write persuasive or informational essays through the process of research, outline, composition, editing, and final draft. If working with a particular assignment or writing component, multiple sessions are recommended. Topics of Specialty: -Early Colonial Settlers (Period of Salutary Neglect) -French and Indian War -Disagreements with Britain (1763-1776) -Revolutionary War -US Constitution and Amendments -Western Expansion -Civil War -World War I -World War II -Cold War Era -California state history -Arizona state history -Informational and Persuasive essay composition
Learning Goals
Students can use this time to expand their understanding and knowledge of specific topics in American history, or we can focus on research and writing. The focus and learning goals of each tutoring session are determined by the learner and parents.

As with any history class, some topics may be controversial or violent in nature. All discussions will be devoid of bias.
