Students will work on writing to improve skills, techniques outlines or other needs or focuses in writing as identified by their first writing assessments. Students will choose an area of writing to focus on then they will be assessed and develop goals.  Once goals are established students will work to improve writing skills. Some areas of interest might include the following list;))
Students goals in writing will follow 

  *Extended Response:

Students are required to write an extended piece of writing, such as an essay, report, article, or narrative. They must demonstrate their ability to develop and support ideas, use appropriate language and style, and structure their writing coherently.

  * Argumentative or Persuasive Writing:

Students may be asked to write an argumentative or persuasive essay on a given topic. They must present and defend their opinions or arguments logically, provide evidence and examples to support their claims, and address counterarguments effectively

  * Creative Writing:

Students may encounter tasks that require creative writing skills, such as writing a story, poem, dialogue, or descriptive passage. They must demonstrate creativity, imagination, and mastery of literary techniques.

 * Response to Stimulus:

Students may be given a stimulus, such as a passage, image, graph, or scenario, and asked to respond in writing. They must analyze the stimulus, interpret information, and express their thoughts or ideas clearly and coherently.

  * Critical Analysis:

Students may be required to analyze and critique a piece of writing, such as a poem, article, or excerpt from a novel. They must demonstrate their ability to analyze literary elements, evaluate arguments or themes, and articulate their insights effectively.

* Letter Writing 

Teach students how to format and write business letters and other types of letters, including formal letters, informal letters, and letters of inquiry. Focus on proper salutations, body content, closing remarks, and formatting conventions.
  
  * Email Communication:

Introduce students to professional email writing skills. Teach them how to compose clear, concise, and polite emails, including subject lines, greetings, message content, attachments, and signatures.

  * Job Application Materials:

Provide guidance on writing job application materials, such as resumes, cover letters, and thank-you letters. Teach students how to highlight their skills, experiences, and qualifications effectively.

  * Writing Reports or Informative Writing:

Teach students the basics of writing informative reports, including research reports, project reports, and informational reports. Focus on organizing information, using headings and subheadings, presenting data, and drawing conclusions.

  * Pursuasive Arguments:

Introduce students to writing business proposals, such as project proposals or fundraising proposals. Teach them how to outline project objectives, describe methodologies, present budgets, and make persuasive arguments.  Make simple pursuasive arguments for daily life.

  * Business Writing Etiquette:

Discuss business etiquette principles with students, such as professional tone, respectful language, appropriate formatting, proofreading skills, and following ethical guidelines in business writing.

I am Ms Mumma.
* I have Multiple Degrees in Education and I have taught for many years. I have experience teaching online as well as in classroom.  
* I am a Published Writer & a Homeschool Mom.
* I am TESOL, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and TEFL Teaching English as a Foreign Language certified
* I am a native English speaker.
* I have previously served as a Parent Educator.
I teach Classes in English and English Language Arts, as well as Tutoring 1 on 1 for reading and for English speakers.

  I love teaching writing. I teach reading, writing, speaking, socratic (discussion) circles, book club, and many courses in  English Language Arts.
 
I teach ESL English as a Second Language. Students of varying abilities whether they are beginners, intermediate or more advanced with the language.

Homework Offered
Students will be offered writing practice options 
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will spend the first class preparing a writing assignment that will be assessed for strengths and skills of focus.  After the first 10 Classes Students will be reassess for growth.
Grades Offered

Students should be intermediate or master level english speakers.
