Beginner Level
Your child will be enrolled in a Level One Spanish class, designed specifically for beginner-level children. The class meets twice a week for 45 minutes each session. After every class, homework is assigned to be completed by the next meeting. This homework is designed to reinforce the day's lesson and ensure the student fully grasps the material. Each week, students are given a new set of vocabulary words related to that week's lesson. This approach is aimed at helping your child build a strong vocabulary base. In the first week, we will focus on greetings and common questions used when meeting someone new, as well as different ways to say goodbye. The second week will be dedicated to learning colors, numbers, days of the week, and the differences and sounds of the letters in the Spanish alphabet. In the third week, we will revisit greetings and the lessons from the previous weeks. We will also start putting together the sounds of the letters to form words and introduced some useful expressions. The fourth week will be dedicated to learning the parts of the body. By the fifth week, we will start forming sentences. This is a significant step in language learning as it allows the student to start communicating in a more complex and meaningful way. Week 7, we will move on to learning about different parts of the house and discussing family members. Week 8 will be quite exciting as we will virtually visit a supermarket and learned the names of various foods. Week 9, we will put our vocabulary to work and start reading. Week 10 will be dedicated to reading comprehension. We will read a short story and answered questions related to it. Week 11, we will explored different places in our town. We will learn the name of various places in the town, showing a good understanding of our surroundings. Finally, in week 12, is review week where we will revisit all the topics we've covered so far. Week 13, final review and assessment After the completion of each chapter, we will conduct a review followed by an assessment to gauge the student's understanding and retention of the material. This approach ensures that your child is making steady progress in their Spanish language journey.

Supply List
It is greatly beneficial for the learner to have a notebook for taking notes, along with a pencil. This will aid in their learning process and help them retain the information better. Additionally, the ability to type on the computer they are using for the class is also essential. This will not only help them in completing assignments but also in developing their digital literacy skills. To further support the learner's progress, I will be sending handouts, homework, and any additional material needed to practice the day's lesson via the classroom announcements. This will provide them with the opportunity to review and reinforce what they have learned during the session. It's a great way to ensure that the learner is getting the most out of each lesson and is continually improving. Please ensure that these resources are readily available for the learner for each session. This will greatly enhance their learning experience and contribute to their overall progress in the class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Over the past 26 years, I've had the pleasure of working with children in various settings, including county educational systems, summer camps, private groups, and now Outschool. I've been teaching on Outschool for over four years, and it's been a joy to educate children from all over the world.
In every class, my aim is to build tomorrow's leaders one lesson at a time. I firmly believe that every child has the potential to be successful, and I strive to provide a virtual space that allows children to learn, build their confidence, and develop their linguistic skills in a fun and engaging manner.
My experience as a translator for an NGO for 10 years, where I traveled throughout Latin America acting as a liaison between foreign governments and NGOs, has greatly enriched my teaching approach. This background allows me to bring a unique perspective to the lessons, enhancing your child's learning experience.
I look forward to work with your child and help them reach their full potential.
