This is a one on one coding class. Here are specific topics that can be covered: -Introduction to the Scratch coding blocks -How to draw on the Scratch editor -Scratch coding vocabulary -How to remix a project from someone else -How to debug and correct errors in your code -How to upload and download images and sounds -How to create simple coding projects Students will learn basic coding skills using Scratch. Students will learn what the various coding blocks do such as control, events, variables, motion, and sound. They will increase their coding vocabulary and coding experience. This class is for learners who need a different pace or a one on one setting. I will be able to ask and answer questions to gauge what the learner needs. I will share my screen to model various coding activities. Learners can show their work during class to get feedback as needed. So, let’s code! Note for families: Scratch works best on laptops or desktops. It can work on an iPad with some adjustments. Please create your child’s account on Scratch prior to class and have them login. It also may be helpful to have a split screen or a separate device to view Zoom and the Scratch website.

I teach book clubs, coding classes, and STEM classes. I have been teaching for 15 years. I've taught kindergarten to fifth. I am a gifted education teacher.
