1-on-1 Reading Assessment
In this 20 minute class I will administer a reading assessment to analyze your students reading skills. Within 2-3 business days I will provide a breakdown of the results with my top suggestions to continue to work on.

Class Experience
Welcome Outschool families! In this one on one reading assessment we will cover five sections: letter names, letter sounds, phoneme segmentation, nonsense words, and reading fluency! At the beginning of each section I will explain what the student will see and the task they will perform. After the explanation of the section there is a one minute timed test. After class I will review the assessment results and compare them to the standard benchmarks. From there I will provide a list of strengths and areas to continue working upon. In addition I will provide a few handouts for students to continue to practice at home. (Feedback and follow up handouts will be provided within 3 business days).

Hi! I am Mrs. Ciulla (pronounced Shoe-la) I love to learn and I love to teach! My goal is to inspire my students to want to learn.
I teach all sorts of classes for grades 1 - 6, but I particularly love to teach students how to read. When I was a child myself I recall having trouble learning how to read and that experience really stuck with me. As a teacher, I aim to provide students with the tools to promote confident readers!
A little about my professional background. I changed careers to become a teacher because I have a strong passion for helping children have a positive learning experience. I have been teaching for over five years now and recently obtained my Master's in Elementary Education. I have 3 year experience teaching in a virtual environment and love to be able to incorporate technology in my lessons.
My philosophy to teaching is to make the learning process for the students as engaging as possible so they develop a love for learning and are set up to be life long learners themselves.
I recently discovered my passion for travel with my family and we have learned so much in our travels. I am excited to be able to also travel virtually all over the world teaching here on Outschool where I get to teach students all across the globe!Reviews
