Class experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
This class is taught in English.
Learners will instantly develop their performance/presentation/vocal piece (or learn ways to build their confidence or develop their Presenting) and gain useful tips and techniques they can use on their own, after the class.
I have a lot of experience with the demands of auditions from working as a professional actress on one side, and then later producing and directing productions (musical or a play, on alternative years), including some I have written myself, on the other. I am very experienced in coaching learners to produce their best performance/presentation, and I love seeing them develop in front of my eyes.

I am a fully qualified teacher (BAPA, PGCE) with 16+ years of experience teaching Drama (and some Music, PSHCE, and English) to 11 to 15 years olds and Performing Arts to 16 to 18 year olds in bricks and mortar schools, where I currently still teach part-time, including running small group and 1:1 confidence building workshops. I also have many years of experience leading community workshop schemes (like create a play in a week) and local drama groups for ages 4 to 16.

As a professional actress, I've performed to children from ages 2-14 in theatres, arts centres, social clubs, historical properties,  nurseries, and schools. Playing roles such as the Gingerbread man and a tortoise, to a wartime headmistress and Queen Elizabeth the first! With lots of Q & A and interactive workshops along the way.

I then branched into presenting (live, events, radio, some TV, and for holiday companies across Europe) including some Voiceover work. I currently create and present drama and presenter tuition videos and have a regular podcast.

I have produced and directed many productions (musicals and plays) as well, including some I have written myself.

Currently, I present weekly in-person music, movement, and sensory classes for under 5s and their parents as well.

In terms of supporting learners with confidence building, I myself was a quiet child with a reluctance to speak and it was acting and its techniques that truly helped me.
