Thank you for checking out this lessons! I'm a piano teacher with over 8 years of experience teaching piano to students of all ages in a private and classroom setting. I'm a graduate in music composition, and have been playing the piano since I was 9! I am very passionate about music, and am very excited to share in this passion with all my students.

We are going to be focusing on an individualized approach to the lessons, so it varies between each student, but most students will leave knowing these techniques:
-Music reading/Sight reading
-Repertoire of pieces
-Posture and fingering
-Basic music theory (musical terms, simple musical analysis)
-Warmup exercises (important before every play)
-A deeper understanding of Rhythm

Something to keep in mind is that we will be using some books and sheet music, so purchase of these will be necessary. I will specify which are required, and which are optional after our first lesson.

I love to think of the piano as a great instrument to start your musical journey! If you wish to then look into other instruments, the piano will give you the basics and understanding of music to make it easier for you to jump on to other instruments as well!
