Learners will learn the rules for the English language to become better spellers and readers.
I have taught all elementary grades kindergarten-6th grade and am familiar with several different reading and writing curriculums. I am also an OG (Orton Gillingham) certified teacher. I have been working as a teacher for 10 years and with students in the school setting for almost 20 years.
Homework Offered
I am happy to provide additional practice. Just let me know when you sign up.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I will be doing informal assessments at the end of each session to decide where we will go in our next class.Grades Offered
I am happy to provide a grade. Depending on the learners age and level, learners will either receive a success grade (Exceeds expectations, meets expectations, needs extra practice) or a letter/percentage grade. If you need a grade please let me know.
Since this class is designed as a one to one it will be adjusted to help your learner achieve their goals, including hands on activities, slides, online games, or any other way for your learner to be successful.
No pre-requisites are required since this class is tailored to your learners needs.
Each week materials will be posted in the classroom prior to class to be printed off for learners to get the most out of the class. Learners will also need to have writing and coloring materials, scissors, glue, and paper nearby each time we meet.
Please be nearby during class in case of need of tech support, off screen. Only learners enrolled in the class can be on camera. We will be using scissors, glue, and coloring materials during class. Please supervise as needed for this class. We will be playing online games occasionally during class. Please be nearby to help your learner get it set up as needed.
All materials will be created by me using my experience as a brick and mortar and online teacher.
