Beginner - Advanced Level
Do you want to prepare a poem for a competition, talent show, or festival? or start to build your public speaking skills and confidence using poems? This 1:1 class can be adapted, tailored, and personalised to address the specific areas your learner wants/needs to concentrate on. I believe that ANYONE can be a strong public speaker with the right training. Over my years working as a Teacher, Tutor, Confident Communications Coach, Presenter (TV, Radio, Live, Video, Online), Actress, and Director I have picked up lots of tips, tricks, and techniques that can help ANYONE improve their public speaking skills and confidence ready for any type of public speaking. Each class will begin with a fun tongue twister warm-up, which helps improve articulation, enunciation, and pronunciation. Then we will explore a piece of poetry. Applying a different public speaking technique each week. This could either be something available in the public domain (at an appropriate level for your learner's age/level of English), or we can work on a specific poem given for a competition, talent show, or festival. Learners will get regular feedback with tips they can continue to build on both live in class, and often afterward in the notes in the classroom.
Learning Goals
Learners will learn key public speaking techniques, which they can use in ANY form of public speaking after the course.
Learners will develop their public speaking confidence through a chance to practice, and the new skills gained.
