Children will learn the necessary skills in reading, writing/and any phonics and grammar related material.  This could be through identification of letter sounds, sight words, CVC words, or more advanced such as grammar concept, sentence structure, sentence and essay writing, and another subject that we are exploring.   As your learner progresses, we will be adding more learning opportunities and building on what we have learned.  Never stop learning and never stop growing. :-)

I am a certified teacher with over 15 years of experience. I have taught English/Writing/Journalism to PreK- to college level.  I have taught in a traditional public school setting as well as virtually.  Through my love of learning and teaching combined with my patience and understanding, I will tailor the learning needs of your child to develop the most efficient and appropriate method of learning.  Every child learns differently and at a different pace.  So let's work together to build the confidence and skills needed to develop your child into the best learner possible.   Sometimes all it takes is a little bit of confidence to make a world of difference.  This is a fun class and my goal is to have your child smiling and full of pride of what was accomplished. :-)  It's amazing what we can accomplish with a little encouragement and guidance.   Every child has the ability to learn.  It's a matter of unlocking the right door in your child's mind.  

Homework Offered
I will be providing worksheets after each lesson to reinforce what we learned that day.  Learners will be able to practice the material that we covered during the lesson.  Through repetition, your child will gain the skills needed to become a confident and fluent learner in any area and subject they desire.

Assessments Offered
Each learner is assessed individually.  We will go at your child's pace.  I will be sending updates to let you know how your child is doing and to share what we have been working on.   I believe that communication is very important.  We will work together to ensure that your child is achieving the desired goals. 
Grades Offered

Learners will not need to access any other sources other than the Outschool tools.
