In the beginning of class, I will briefly touch on the student's week to warm them up to the conversational environment. Then, I will ask him/her to play his/her song or read the lyric. We will then discuss some of the fundamental parts of the song and relate them to the student's original piece. I will ask some or all of the following questions: 
- What was the inspiration behind this song? 
- What is the main theme of this song?
- What is your hook?
- What is your rhyme scheme? 
- Do your syllables match?
- Do you have your song arranged, i.e. verse, chorus, verse 2, chorus 2, bridge, chorus 3?
- Does your lyric communicate the story or theme you are trying to tell?

We will organically jump in to revisions and edits. My goal is to help the student create/write a focused piece with a clear intention on theme for the song. If students are more advanced, we can dig in more to the imagery, word choice and melodies (if applicable).

Students are welcome to book as many sessions as needed to complete any and all revisions. Some songs will only take one class, while some may require several.
