Do you want to motivate your children to practice? Do you want them to connect with others learners who love music just like them, and be inspired to achieve their highest potential? It is my goal that this violin community will do just that for all of its members. As an orchestra teacher, I have seen students make the most progress when learning from their peers and working together with the same goal in mind: to grow musically. In this community, students will connect with peers from all over the globe to improve their violin skills in an enjoyable and engaging way. Learning is fun, and learning the violin should be no different. To me, there is nothing more exhilarating than making music. Students of all levels are welcome to join this community, as a variety of playing levels is what is needed for motivation to grow. Students will interact with one another through the posts and projects I will be sharing every week. I will be available to answer questions and provide feedback every day, except in the weekends. below you will see a detailed description of my posting schedule and topics. Mondays "Show and Tell": Every Monday, I will share with students a post asking them to share something about their musical journey. Examples: favorite song, artist, musical genre, current song they are learning, etc. This will be an opportunity to get to know one another and connect on a deeper human level. Wednesday Pro Tips Videos: Every Wednesday, I will post a video providing tips for warm-ups, practice habits, specific techniques, or songs. The videos will include detailed explanations to improve students' skills in vibrato, shifting, scales, bow strokes, etudes, injury prevention, and more. Feedback Fridays: On Fridays, students are encouraged to send me videos of them practicing what they learned on Wednesday, or questions related to the songs they are currently learning. Although I will be available for questions on weekdays, Fridays are the days when students and parents can ask me anything about the violin or music in general. I would like to remind parents that this is a virtual community and there will be NO live meetings for this class. However, the experience of belonging to a place where everybody knows your name will boost students' self-esteem and love for music. I look forward to meeting you soon, Mariana Corzo

指南
Welcome to our Group! We want all of our learners to feel comfortable, connected, and safe. That's why we have 3 rules we ask you to follow: Be Kind, Be Safe, and Be Respectful.
Be Kind - Help all learners feel welcome and included.
Always be nice and make others, especially new learners, know that they belong and are welcome. Teasing, name calling, or bullying anybody in our community? Nope. Not happening here
Be Safe - Keep your personal information private and never ask other learners for theirs.
Personal things are personal. We want to keep you safe on Outschool, but we also want YOU to understand how to be safe when you're meeting other learners or teachers. Keep your full name, home address, gaming or social media name, email, and school name private.
Be Respectful - Treat others how you want to be treated.
Keep language clean and information you share safe. If you wouldn't say it or share with your grandma, don't do it here. Swear words, racy videos, and violent images are not allowed. Treat Outschool like a public place, and when in doubt, keep things covered.

I am a professional musician and a State-Certified K-12 Music teacher based in Miami, Florida. I hold a Master’s Degree in Music Education and a Bachelor's in Violin Performance from Florida International University.
I have worked with pre-school and school-aged children for over five years, and have taught group music lessons as well as private music lessons to hundreds of students. I am passionate about passing on the love and knowledge I have for music to all of my students.
I am specially thrilled to be building this violin community because it will be the first time that all of my students from all over the globe will be growing and learning together.
