This group is perfect for students learning French. As the moderator of the group, I will answer questions regarding any French advice students might have for their homework or school assignments. They can ask about spelling a word, conjugation, grammar rules and vocabulary. For example: "Mrs Jennifer, how would I write the verb I am eating but in the past tense?". I would answer "je mangeais". Maybe students are looking for a suggestion: Mrs Jennifer, what word can I use instead of the word "nourriture" ? I would answer: you can also use the word "aliment". Other students can also suggest things as well and I will comment to make sure the information is correct.
Students are also encouraged to answer the weekly French challenge. Once a week I will post a challenge like translating this sentence, find 5 spelling mistakes in this sentence or find 3 words from the same root family. These challenges are meant to be fun and engaging and will let students interact with one another and receive feedback from a professional French resource teacher. This group does not meet over zoom but is conducted over the group chat. I will monitor the group chat on a daily basis.
