Is your child looking for a place to express their ideas and opinions? Are they looking for a way to engage in active debates with other students? Do they love to confidently stand on what they believe in? If so, this group is perfect to fit their needs! In this group, students will respond to prompts which I will post by: 1. Expressing their claim (what they believe to be true). 2. Supporting their claim with evidence and reason. 3. Rebutting other posts made my other students, or myself, with adequate evidence and reasoning! This group aims to foster growth in critical thinking, topicality, confidence, and overall debate skills! It is my personal belief that every student (regardless of their debate experience) ought to have the opportunity to express their opinions and ideas with other students their age. This group will promote this as well as put students in a position where they feel comfortable listening to opinions which are different from theirs, thus promoting acceptance of difference in thought.

Debate Club! is a community of learners that come together on Outschool to share what they’re learning, ask questions, participate in challenges, and get feedback on their projects
I think that the U.S. should not. Fossil fuels have been working for so many years, and they are a critical part of our economy. Renewables are unreliable.
I think that the United States should move away from fossil fuels because they are actively harming our planet.
I disagree with the learner who said we should switch to renewable energy because the United States relies to heavily on Fossil Fuels, like someone already said.

As a debate teacher/tutor I will ensure each debate is monitored so no disrespect is shown by any individual. If a student is found as being disrespectful or insensitive they will be redirected accordingly.
