Big Nate books and comics are so fun to read and talk about! In this group, we will post our favorite comics, discuss our favorite chapter books or comic books, talk about the characters we love (and love to hate), and discuss any and all things from the Big Nate "universe"! As the new show comes out, we can discuss this as well! There is so much to learn and talk about with Big Nate! I cannot wait to see you in the group! As moderator from the group, I will be sharing the things I love and dislike about the comics, books, and more! I will also post non-copyrighted comic strips periodically throughout the week (at least 3 times a week). I will include questions for discussion with the posts and will be commenting about the posts the learners make as well! I cannot wait to see your input on the comics, books, and new show!

Hello! My name is Teacher Kim. I am born and raised in the southern United States. I have been a teacher for over 15 years and worked with children and adults of all ages both in public school, private school, and private tutoring as well! I absolutely love teaching!
In my classroom, we will focus on building our reading comprehension skills, higher order thinking skills, and have some fun while learning grammar. We will do this through reading, discussion, games, and so much more!
I have a dual bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and my master's degree in middle school education (teaching and learning). I have also received my TESOL and TEFL for working with children and adults learning English. I just really love learning and teaching!
I believe that learning should be fun and engaging. It is not about being serious all the time. There should be fun, games, and brain breaks to encourage our minds to fully grow and develop. I love to help students think outside the box and engage their brains in thinking of things in different ways.
I have been married to my husband for over 13 years and I am the mother of 2 beautiful children and homeschool them as well. We have a sweet guinea pig for our pet who we absolutely adore. In my spare time, I love reading, playing games, spending time with my children, and just relaxing when possible.
I am so excited to teach your child and help your child grow his/her comprehension skills! See you in the classroom!!!
