In this 6-week Flex (no live classes) course, learners will assume the role of a newly hired zookeeper and work their way through an in-depth orientation process. Learners will select two species from the zoo to focus on, however, they will still need to work with the other keepers to solve problems within the zoo as they arise. Students will learn about what it takes to be a zookeeper. They will explore the ins and outs of the career and what it is like to be a zookeeper on a daily basis. They will also learn about a multitude of animals and their care requirements. There are 30 different species in our zoo!
I'm a current zookeeper with over five years experience in the zoological field. I also hold a Bachelor's of Science Biology degree.
